Distilled at a secret location on Orkney and matured for 13 years in a single cask, this whisky has been finished in ex-Oloroso sherry oak and was chosen by the band to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their highly acclaimed debut album Raintown.
The liquid is a symphony of classic Orkney character and bold Oloroso sherry notes, making it both a perfect Christmastime Single Malt and a fitting accompaniment to the album's bold and enduring spirit.
Visually, Born in a Storm is equally striking, adorned with a bespoke, original watercolour inspired by the wild natural spirit of the Orkney Islands. Deep, cold atlantic blues swell into waves and crescendo in a freezing white wash as a storm crashes onto the coastline. Raw and naturally beautiful, it conjures an instantly familiar vision of Scotland.
